Christopher Columbus Dog Park
Your pet will love to play off-leash at this Tucson dog park. This lighted park features a shaded area witha ramada, waste station, scrambling area, and a doggie water fountain.

Jacobs Dog Park
This friendly, off-leash dog park is a favorite with locals, and also includes a separate area for small dogs.

Sixth Avenue Commemorative Pet Park
This dog park features a washing area, drinking water, tables, and shade. Some visitors have noted that it’s best to watch your dog closely at this park, as there have been incidents with aggressive dogs. However, it should be noted that dog owners take this risk at any off-leash dog park.

Reid Park Dog Park (Miko’s Corner)
This lovely two-acre, fully-fenced dog park is divided into separate areas for small and large dogs and features lighting, three double-entry gates, doggie water fountains, and baggie dispensers.

Large City Parks
Abraham Lincoln Regional Park
Lincoln Park features an eight-field lit softball field complex with concessions, parking and top-notch amenities. Home to Clements Regional Recreation Center, the park has a beautiful natural desert landscape, totaling 191 acres.

Sentinel Peak Park
Better known as “A” Mountain, the peak’s a great place to get an overview of the town’s layout during the day; at night the sparkling city lights below are simply breathtaking.

Greasewood Park
Greasewood Park is a fantastic spot to view wildlife such as coyotes, javelins and other desert critters. It also has some picnic tables and grills, and abundant desert vegetation.

Joaquin Murrieta Northwest Park
This park is also known as simply “Northwest Park” and is a frequent site for the Old Timers, a group of senior baseball players. Murrieta Park is frequently the site of family picnics, public festivals, and youth sports tournaments, including Western and Baja Little League. This 38-acre park has Ramadas, picnic areas, soccer fields, Little League fields, and softball fields.

James Thomas Park
This park is a bit smaller than the others but features basketball courts and plenty of room to stretch your legs.

Case Park
This park has a wonderful hiking/biking trail that is great for beginners just looking for some exercise or an evening stroll. There’s a large grass field to play fetch with the pups, a game of toss, or to picnic on. There are also some BBQ grills in the park.

Udall Park
One of the better parks run by the city of Tucson. There are tennis courts, soccer fields, baseball fields, volleyball courts, outdoor amphitheater, decent public restrooms, covered picnic areas, a lovely paved .6 mile walking path, dog parks, and play grounds.

Himmel Park
Himmel Park is a nice, larger park in the middle of Tucson. It’s clean and beautifully landscaped. Himmel Park is popular among soccer players, but also has BBQ’s and jumping castles. There’s even some playgrounds for kids. Overall, it’s a really good park to have a get-together, or to just take an evening stroll.

Reid Park
We put Reid Park at the bottom of the list because unlike the parks listed above, this one is actually a zoo too! This is a small zoo with well presented exhibits and habitats appropriately sized for the animals. They have a beautiful rose garden perfect for an afternoon stroll as well.
