Dove Mountain Marana Makes Plans to Increase Tourism
In early May, the Marana town council met to discuss a variety of topics including how to improve tourism in the area. According to Marana News, “The council voted 5-0 to create the Lead Generation/Destination Marketing Program for the town in hopes of increasing tourism.”
With this vote, Town Manager Gilbert Davidson is authorized to begin implementing the program.
Tourism generates more than $1 billion in the US alone, and is the largest industry in the world, making it one of the most competitive industries. With so much competition, the Marana program was created so the town could have a structured plan in place to get in front of meeting planners during their buying process.
