The upcoming partial solar eclipse is making big headlines, and people everywhere are excited to witness a spectacular moment in science as it comes to life before their very eyes.

Showdown in Tombstone
Welcome back to the wild, wild West. Long before cell phone and cars were a normal part of life, pioneers and cowboys were fighting for their territories. What’s now a beautiful, peaceful town was once a riotous, gun-slinging corridor filled with ruckus.
This is your opportunity to step back in time and see what life was like when gun powder and leather were the most popular creature comforts available. Showdown in Tombstone provides plenty of street entertainment and features live reenactments of the way things were back in the 1880s. This year’s Showdown is scheduled for Labor Day weekend, occurring from 10:00am to 4:00pm daily, Saturday, September 2nd through Monday, September 4th.

Every Friday night throughout the summer and fall, Maynard’s hosts its Summer Wine Tastings events, bringing neighbors together as they try wines from all over the world. Each event features wines from a new region, allowing guests to learn more about the tastes and elements specific to each place.
